It's Cold at the Grocery Store

Hello readers, it's been a while - I'm trying to be better about my blogs & I know I say that every single time. I blinked and January just passed. It was the first {new year, same me}, then it was my birthday {Jan 17th} and somehow it's February already.

While I worked like crazy last month, I have a few goals for this month even though it's literally the shortest month. I'm trying to keep shorter goals in mind so I don't have burn outs or feel guilty when I don't accomplish XYZ. I am still working on new projects, my alpha readers are going wild with the new stuff; it's crazy when it's unedited. Its a slow process but I'm enjoying it. I am also healing from my surgery & doing my physical therapy, which to be honest, it has been nice to relax. I've been catching up on some reading, I'm hoping to finish my current read. My TBR pile never ends! I've been catching up on TV shows/movies with my kiddos & my husband which has been a lot of fun; they show me some wild new stuff all the time. Also, to be fully honest, trying to save money for the writers retreat that's coming up in a couple of months. I'm excited to see all my author friends again & work with like minded persons. I have a feeling this month will be slow, but that'll be nice so I can soak in those moments of clarity and happiness.

I've been trying to keep being inspired, to try to keep going, to never give up. I'm always walking, if it's on my treadmill or even if it's the cold walks down the vegetable aisle in the grocery story. I'm trying to always keep my story in mind and how/what I'd like to tell, but then I see the cookies & get distracted. I believe stories are all around us & I'm trying to keep my mind, heart, and eyes open. I want to continue my works-in-progress but I also don't want to miss out on anything new - the plight of authors :) So now that I've done my "monthly" update & my goals, here's some inspiration for all you authors/aspiring authors:

"You can always edit a bad page. You can't edit a blank page." – Jodi Picoult

Time to get back to work :)

I'm hoping to have a new blog post out within the next week or so!
