It's time to hop 'til you drop! 🐣🌸

Updated: Apr 2

Hello all!!

Yes I agree it has been a while. It's been super busy in this household with all the activities going on and spring is in full bloom here. Even just today, I've spent the better part of the day fighting a bee and having my cat at the vet since she got stung. But, the beach visits have been really helpful to keep me motivated, not that I want to brag 😜 Today's blog, I wanted to write again about why reviews are important.

Lately I've had a small break from the festivals, comic-con's, and markets and I've been using that time to catch up on some editing and writing new chapters. I have been also been at the Next Chapter Books & Art bookstore in New Bern, NC to help sell my books. While I've been doing this, I've noticed I don't have many reviews on GoodReads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or even at my bookstore. I cannot emphasize how important ratings and reviews are for a book and it's author. Book reviews are important for the author and the reader alike. For the reader or the enjoyer, it provides a concise summary of the content and an assessment as well as insights into the books style, theme, and quality. That way the reader can know if this is the type of book they want to read. For example, my eldest daughter reads a lot of historical-romance/fiction and "slice of life" comedy books. She often goes onto GoodReads, Amazon or ThriftBooks to see the reviews to get a more in-depth insight to what the book is and to see if she'd enjoy this book.

For the author, it provides important feedback that allows the author to improve on their craft or answer any questions. It should also be noted that books who have lots of reviews, even negative are more likely to be read and shared than a book with only ten reviews. The more reviews the better the algorithm all sites. so please leave reviews, especially for the indie authors.

The reviews don't have to be long. i know a lot of readers are hesitant to leave reviews because they don't know what to say. a simple, "i liked it" or "Very enjoyable" or even "had me hooked" all that is needed.

If anyone has read any of my books, kindle vellas, or even my short stories, leaving a quick review makes a huge difference. If you enjoyed any of my works, please take a few moments to write a review of it. You can leave a review on Barnes & Noble, GoodReads, Amazon, Thirftbooks, or even my website. I cannot thank you enough and I appreciate every single review. Again, thank you!

Also, I wanted to remind you all of the two, possibly three events coming up really soon since somehow it's now APRIL (see below for more information within the flyers). If you aren't able to attend any of them, don't worry! The year is still very young and I'm positive I will add more festivals, markets, or comic-cons, so be on the lookout with these blogs and my social media posts 🤫 Burgaw's Spring Market 🦋- It's the most upcoming meet n greet. It takes place on Friday April 12th from 4-8 PM. It'll be at the Historic Burgaw Train Depot. If you want more information, the website is in the flier attached below as well as the Burgaw's Market phone number.

After the Spring Market, comes the Holly Ridge Bee Festival 🐝

This festival will take place in Holly Ridge, NC on April 27th from 10 AM - 3 PM. There will be lots of vendors and food trucks so make sure you get there early to get some good parking!

Last but not least, and certainly will not be the only added event of the rest of this year is Galaxy Con 👾 It takes place from July 25th - July 28th and it takes place in Raleigh, NC. As of 3/31, I am still currently on the waitlist. I'm in contact with a few people regarding this issue. I won't be 100% certain of whether or not I will get in until around May/June-ish. I will keep reminding you all of that here just in case I am allowed a booth. Of course, I'm going to give you all this information just in case I am in a booth. I'll update you soon as to whether or not I will be there.

With my allergies in full bloom, sand everywhere, and just over all sleepy on this fine Sunday, I'm resting and doing my usual work and trying to keep up with my Kindle Vella's. If you can't attend those events, don't be sad, cause I know for a fact that those won't be the only events I do this year. I will always keep you up to date with everything that is happening with the Zelina series, The Glyph Master series, Ream stories, Rise of the Vanquisher, any other Vella's, books, interviews, podcasts, and festivals. So keep reading these blogs and all my social media posts including Facebook, Tik Tok, & Instagram. Stay tuned for new updates!

See you at all the festivals this year, book signings, Insta, or on REAM :)

(Happy easter)
